Cuthand Methodist Homecoming
We had the honor of playing again this year for the Cuthand Methodist Church Homecoming and man we had a really good time.My friend Joe Kelsey is in the process of getting us in as Honary Members and we are excited about that. The folk’s in the church make you feel so WELCOME you just want to go back again,of course our banjo player wanted to join the first time we played there.
If you live withn driving distance of this church and need a church home you really should check it out.
Thank’s to the whole congretation for the warm welcome and making us feel at home.
THANK YOU:

# 16 - Van The Man

Mr. Van started out being the fan of the month on the Hard 2 Git web site but after much consideration and meditation we have decided to make him the fan of the decade.
We met Mr.Van about 25 or 30 years ago and thru the years has become one of our very best friend’s we have played music with him we have gone to church with we have learned from him and most important we have come to Love him and Respect him.In looking for a phrase that would describe him this one always comes to my mind. He is truly a Southern Gentleman. Mr.Van.
Thanks,

Big Fun @ the Crystal Palace
We had a really good time at the Chrystal Palace in Tom Bean, Texas last night if you have not been there and you like good music with a veery plesant place to relax and listen, this is the place . They always have 2 or 3 really good groups and the theatre is one of the nicest around, Mr.Bill Hayes is the owner and always makaes you feel at home.
The sound system is really good and they have a sound tech that really takes care of it.
We also saw some of our old friends from over there…..Mr Tom Conrad was there and a man that has been so good to James and I thru the years is Mr. Clarence White, in days past a good guitar player and singer….
Also Larry Shoemaker from the Dallas area and his lovely wife. There were many more but I’am probably in trouble now that I named some and not others. Please forgive me I’m just old and forgetful.
They have shows just about every week ck. it out.
They really treat the Hard 2 Git group nice and we trully appreciate it.

Hard 2 Git Show @ the Fairgrounds
Man, what a night !!!! The best crowd we have ever had and the line-up of talent was just Awesome…The Hard 2 Git Bluegrass Band opened the show and we were joined by James and Anna’s daughter Katy Jamison who sang the ” Hair ” off of an Isaccs song titled I Found It All In The Blood and then did a fine rendition of Fallen Leaves. I could not see Anna as this was going on but it looked to me like ol James head swelled about two sizes.
Jeff and Kay, son and daughter of Reva and I did a new song that was written as a result of the writer seeing the Passion of The Christ. The title is All Things New and if you listen to the words it will really bless you. Kay then sang I’ll Live in A Mansion Someday and had a special request to do Amazing Grace. After that I don’t think I could have worn James cap ha ha. Stuart Anderson of the H2G bgb brought Andi and her mom Tammy and they did a really fine set. I can’t remember the song titles but Andi did a fine job on fiddle and man that little booger sings the sweetest harmony you have ever heard and her mom Tammy sings really good also. Now what can I say about Susie Roach, meaning that if you have ever heard her sing, someone telling you about it is like someone telling you about a beautiful sunset they have seen. She has the best voice you will find anywhere and if I was Philip I think I would go buy a bus and quit this hard work that we do, Thank you Susie….Pat and William Rogers are a big part of our shows and their talent is just wonderful. Pat can melt down a Baby Grande and William never misses a beat. We had a Blues set this time with Russell Hayes on lead guitar and vocals and Jeffery Bolton on rythm guitar, Anna Martin on Bass and James Martin on guitar and vocals. It was some really good music. Wade White has been a part of every show that we have had and he always sing’s some really good songs and usually has some of the guys from the Cowboy Church with him. After hearing his and Beverly’s daughters sing I knew why he didn’t have his hat on, I don’t think it would fit.
I would like to THANK everyone for the support they have given us and all the singers and pickers for the wonderful job they do and also a” BIG OL THANK YOU ” to all that stay and help us clean-up and stack the chairs.
If I missed anyone just know that we appreciate all….Next show Oct.28th.
Till then……Happy Trails To You…..
Sam Bolton and all the Hard 2Git Bluegrass Band
